Custom Color for CMYK

Use this page to define custom CMYK color settings for your print job.

The profile options enable you to specify the CMYK data sources for Images and Text and Graphics.

The Pure Primaries feature provides a color-management property for the job. This feature enables the preservation of a Pure Primary color input, at the object level, through the color-managed path.

To define custom CMYK color settings:

  1. Click CMYK Color.
  2. For Images Profile, select an option.
  3. For Images Pure Primaries, select an option:
    • Printer Default.
    • Off: This option ensures that a Pure Primary input color is not preserved through color management.
    • On (100% Only): This option ensures that a 100% solid Pure Primary input color is preserved through color management. Tints 0–100% are not preserved.
    • On: This option ensures that both 100% solid and 0–100% tints of Pure Primary input colors are preserved through color management.
  4. For Text and Graphics Profile, select an option.
  5. For Text and Graphics Pure Primaries, select an option:
    • Printer Default.
    • Off: This option ensures that a Pure Primary input color is not preserved through color management.
    • On (100% Only): This option ensures that a 100% solid Pure Primary input color is preserved through color management. Tints 0–100% are not preserved.
    • On: This option ensures that both 100% solid and 0–100% tints of Pure Primary input colors are preserved through color management.
  6. Click OK.
