Settings Help
EtherTalk - Allows you to
enable and disable the protocol. The default value is On.
Printer Name - Allows you to set
the printer's EtherTalk name. This field can contain a maximum of 32
characters.
Printer Type - Allows you to set
the printer's EtherTalk type to a maximum of 32 characters.
Zone - Allows you to change the
printer's EtherTalk zone. The zone must be 32 characters or less.
Null characters cannot be used. The zone entered must be a zone that the printer
is on.
Network Node - Reports the node
ID established by the EtherTalk protocol.
Page Description Language - Select the page description language, (PostScript, PCL, PDF, etc.), you want
the printer to receive on EtherTalk. The default setting is Auto Select.
Filtering - This field allows
you to select whether or not the printer reacts to control characters included in files. Options
are InterpreterBased or None. In most cases, Filtering
should be set to None.
