This Product has a bug with its sleep mode and deep sleep mode

I would not recommended this product unless you have some corporate account or some active service contract with Xerox. There are multiple threads on the internet speaking of this "Power Saver Sleep Mode" problem and that with certain levels of support contracts, a Xerox service provider will come out in the field and replace some module. I have not been able to get to that point due to my schedule and COVID-19 craziness at this time. This printer was purchased as a back-up at the end of 2018, and sat through its warranty period until needed to be used in May of 2020. Upon its initial installation, it worked Great, that is until is sat idle for more than 10 mind and went into power saver sleep mode. It simply will not come out of this deep sleep mode. I have had it hardwired to my PC as well as paired wirelessly through our company network. It will not come out of its deep sleep power saver mode. You have to unplug it from the wall power source, and then plug it back-in to restart. In the case of using it wirelessly with a PC, I have had to uninstall and reinstall the same drivers for it to be recognized on my Windows 10 PC. The ironic thing, is that through my Samsung Android Smart Phone, I never had to reinstall the printer drivers on my phone to print wirelessly paired. I still have to unplug main power line of the printer and restart it in that manner, but it would print through my android cell after powered restart with no problem. Printing through my cell phone, has been the most reliable way to print, which is hardly acceptable for any small business. I cant see any really large business using this printer on a reliable everyday basis, without the module being fixed or serviced properly.

WIRELESS ADAPTER DESIGN IS SUBSTANDARD

If you buy this with the wireless adapter, beware. The adapter usb is connected to the mother board with no support. A gentle bump will bend the connection and render the wireless capability useless. Xerox should have support the connection in the mechanical design process. I have had my printer for just over a year. If I could I would send it back,.

Big disappointment

This product wastes a lot of time in specific setups after you get it going. It's too complicate. Especially the wifi. I had to buy an ethernet cord.I bought extended warranty because of this. I have yet to talk to an IBM agent.

Not worth the effort

I purchase this printer as an inhouse solution to Color Printing. It wastes more of my time trying to print to the correct paper size and from the desired tray that I decided to just take it our of service to end the frustration...

Great print quality but wireless connectivity is terrible.

We have the 6515 and the 6510 -- both with excellent print qualities but atrocious wireless connectivity. In fact, the 6515 simply refuses to scan to email. Finally, had a Xerox representative help set up a scan to folder on my computer which we can work with.
