Communication Error
A connection to the printer could not be made.
Verify the following items, then resubmit your print job:
- The printer is powered on and displays Ready.
- The printer is connected to the network or your computer.
- The printer functions by printing the Configuration page from the control panel of the printer.
Note: To print the Configuration page from the control panel, select Information, select Information Pages, select Configuration Pages, and then press the OK button.
If the printer is on the network:
- Verify that you have provided the correct TCP/IP address for the printer. Print the Configuration page from the printer's control panel to verify that it is not reporting a duplicate IP message. If there is a duplicate IP message, change the IP address for the printer or for the other device.
- Check the network settings for your computer and printer.
- Contact your network administrator for assistance.
