Phaser® 780: Diagnosing print quality problems
After the video loads, click to start the video.    Back to Video List

To diagnose a print quality problem, print the Service Print 1.

  1. From the Ready message, press the select button to see the Printer Menu message.

  2. Press the menu button again to select the help pages menu.

  3. Use the left or right arrow button to scroll to the Service Print 1, then press the Print button.

  4. After the pages print, press the Exit button until Ready is displayed.
Five pages are printed:
  • One page of each toner color, at 25% coverage.

  • And one page with all toner colors at 25% coverage.
This allows you to troubleshoot print quality problems by letting you see whether the problem appears in one color or in all four colors.
