Misfeed at Tray 1 (MPT)

There is a misfeed at Tray 1 (MPT).

  1. Remove paper including jammed paper from Tray 1 (MPT).
  2. Make sure that the paper is clean and not stuck together.
  3. Insert paper in Tray 1 (MPT). See the following illustrations for proper paper orientation.
  4. Long-Edge Feed (LEF)

    • Prepunched holes should enter the printer first.
    • Letterhead should be facedown at the back of the tray.
    • Prepunched holes should enter the printer last.
    • Letterhead should be faceup at the back of the tray.

    Short-Edge Feed (SEF)

    • Prepunched holes should be at the front of the printer.
    • Letterhead should be facedown and enter the printer first.
    • Prepunched holes should be towards the front of the printer.
    • Letterhead should be faceup and enter the printer last.

  5. Slide the width guides to match the size of your paper and verify that the guides are pressed firmly against the paper.
  6. Note: Confirm that the arrow on the right width guide is in the correct position for the paper size you are loading.
