The printer provides TekColor(tm) color corrections that you can select to customize the look of your prints. You can select color corrections through the printer driver, through the printer's rear panel switches, or by sending a PostScript utility file to the printer.
The following color correction modes are available:
None: No correction made to colors.
Vivid Color: Adjusts the color blue to appear less purple. Produces the brightest, most vibrant colors.
Simulate Display: Adjusts color to closely approximate the colors on a standard display screen.
SWOP Press: Specification for Web Offset Publications. Typically used to match U.S. press standards.
SNAP Press: Specification for Non-Heat Advertising Printing. Typically used to preview work for a non-heat web offset printing press using newsprint paper.
Euroscale Press: Characterized to match the equivalent Imation Matchprint proof. Typically used to match European press standards.
Commercial Press: Used to match commercial Imation Matchprint proofs.
Monochrome: Prints a color image as a monochrome grayscale. Outputs color page masters in black-and-white for photocopying.
Use Printer Setting: Uses the color correction mode specified by the downloaded utility file or the rear panel switches rather than any printer driver setting.
