Hex Mode is used for troubleshooting. The Hex Mode Settings page allows you to enable or disable Hex Mode settings. When Hex Mode is On, the printer prints pages showing each character received as a hexadecimal value rather than interpreting the characters received and printing them as either PCL or PostScript data. The default value for Hex Mode Settings is Off.
