Date and Time Help
The
Date and Time page provides offset time references to help set your
printer's clock. Enter the current time for your local time zone, but be sure to enter the offset from Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). Click
Save Changes to store your settings or click
Discard Changes to keep the current settings.
Why Do You Need to Enter the GMT Offsets?
GMT is the time in Greenwich, England, which is the point of reference for global time zones. The time reported in email messages is derived from GMT and an offset value (the offset represents the relationship of your local time zone to GMT). You should enter the offset so that GMT can be calculated for the printer's email messages when using features such as
MaiLinX Alerts and
Usage Profile Reports.
