The
About Printer page shows information about your Xerox printer:
Version Information
Printer Model - The printer model configuration displays in this field. The
Phaser 4500 printer supports the following four configurations:

Phaser 4500B - The
4500B base configuration does not support networking. The duplex unit, which provides 2-sided printing, auxiliary trays, the hard drive, and the stacker are optional on the
4500B configuration. Installed RAM is shown on the Startup and Configuration pages and in Usage Profile as
16 MB less than what is actually installed.

Phaser 4500N - The
4500N configuration supports networking. The duplex unit, which provides 2-sided printing, auxiliary trays, the hard drive, and the stacker are optional on the
4500N configuration.

Phaser 4500DT - The
4500DT plus configuration supports networking. The duplex unit, which provides 2-sided printing, and auxiliary trays are standard on the
4500DT configuration. The hard drive and the stacker are optional on the
4500DTconfiguration.

Phaser 4500DX - The
4500DX extended configuration supports networking. The duplex unit, which provides 2-sided printing, auxiliary trays, the hard drive, and the stacker are standard on the
4500DX configuration.
Note: Each printer configuration contains a replaceable
Configuration Card that holds configuration information and enables or disables certain built-in printer features, such as networking.
Printer Serial Number - The
Printer Serial Number is a unique number that can be found on the
Configuration Page.
Machine Address - The printer's factory-assigned hardware
Ethernet (MAC) address.
Operating System - Version information for the software installed on your printer.
PDL - Version information for the
Page Description Language (PDL) software installed on your printer.
Networking - Version information for the networking software installed on your printer.
Engine - Version information for the engine software installed on your printer.
Memory
RAM Size - The base configuration of the controller contains
SDRAM memory.
SDRAM varies from
64 MB to a maximum of
256 MB for any of the printer configurations.
SDRAM memory added beyond this limit will be ignored.
16 MB flash memory is optional on all
Phaser 4500 printer configurations. Flash memory provides an option for storing downloaded fonts and macros.
Slot 1, Slot 2 - There are
2 option slots each supporting
32 to
128 MB of
SDRAM DIMMs. Any slot may be used for
SDRAM. These DIMMs must comply with the
64-bit unbuffered
PC-100 standard. The maximum
SDRAM memory is
256 MB for any of the printer configurations.
SDRAM memory added beyond this limit will be ignored.
Page Description Languages
Status and version of the installed PDL software.
Options Installed

Hard Drive Installed - If the printer has a hard drive installed, this value displays
Yes. The hard drive is optional on the
Phaser 4500B,
4500N, and
4500DT configurations, and is standard on the
Phaser 4500DX.

Hard Drive Size - If installed, the size of the hard drive displays in this field.

Tray 3 - If Tray 3 is installed, this field displays
Yes.

Tray 4 - If Tray 4 is installed, this field displays
Yes.

Fonts Installed - This field displays the total number of
PostScript fonts installed in the printer. You can delete fonts by clicking the
Properties tab
> Web Server > Font Files from the navigation tree in
CentreWare IS and selecting the fonts you want to delete.

Duplex Unit - If 2-sided printing is enabled, this field displays
Yes. 2-sided printing is optional on the
Phaser 4500B and
4500N configurations, and is standard on the
Phaser 4500DT and
4500DX.

Stacker - If the stacker is installed, this field displays
Yes. The stacker is optional on the
Phaser 4500B,
4500N, and
4500DT configurations, and is standard on the
Phaser 4500DX. The stacker provides jogging and an output tray.
