Rear panel switches

Note:Changes to rear panel Switches 5, 6, and 7 do not take effect until you reset the printer or turn it off and back on again. Changes to Switches 8 and 9 take effect immediately.
Switch Function Settings
1 Reset/run Up: The printer resets and does not accept data while the switch is in this position. Down: The printer runs a self-test, then proceeds to run normally. Leave the switch down for normal operation.
2, 3, 4 Configuration Page/
Diagnostics
Up: When only Switch 4 is moved from down to up, the printer prints a configuration page. See the table "Switches 2, 3, and 4: Diagnostics".
5 Start Job Up: The Sys/Start job on the hard disk does not run. Down: The Sys/Start job runs if the file exists on the disk.
6 Set paper size Up: For metric-size media. Down: For American-size media.
7 Baud Rate Up: Fixed. Sets the serial communication parameters to 1200 baud, software flagging, and ignore parity. Down: Variable. Lets you change the serial communication parameters. The factory setting is 9600 baud, software flagging, and ignore parity. For information on how to change the serial port settings when Switch 7 is in the down position, refer to the Phaser 300X Drivers and Utilities Printing Reference for details on the setdevparams PostScript command.
8 and 9 Color Correction See the table "Switches 8 and 9: Color Correction Mode".

Rear-panel LED indicator

The Phaser 300X has a single rear-panel LED that blinks to indicate that the printer's controller is operational. If the LED is not blinking after power-up and printing the first page call Customer Support (1-800-835-6100 in the United States), or your local Tektronix office (outside the U.S.).
