Selecting a language for the front panel
Messages that appear in the front panel window are in English. You can leave the front panel set to English or change the language to French, German, Spanish, Italian, or Japanese.

  1. When the printer is on and the Ready message appears, press the UTILITIES button. You see this message (Vx.xx is the firmware version number): 

    Utilities    Vx.xx
    
    Exit         Next

    In the Utilities mode, you can scroll through the menu selections using the TEST PRINT button. The CLEAN PRINT HEAD button allows you to execute a function or change a setting.

  2. Press the TEST PRINT button (Next) twice to scroll to the language selection mode. You see this message: 
    Language:    English
    
Change       Next
  3. Press the CLEAN PRINT HEAD button (Change) to change the language selection:
    • Press one time = German
    • Press two times = French
    • Press three times = Italian
    • Press four times = Spanish
    • Press five times = Japanese
  4. Press the TEST PRINT button 5 times to return to the Utilities mode. The message appears in whichever language you selected: 
    Utilities    Vx.xx
    
    Exit         Next
  5. Press the CLEAN PRINT HEAD button (Exit) to exit the Utilities mode. The front panel displays the Ready message.
