General hints and tips

• HAL: Request a document catalog from HAL or EuroHAL, Tektronix' automated fax systems. Refer to "Using the automated fax systems" for instructions on using HAL and EuroHAL.
• World Wide Web: With access to the Internet, you can view selected topics on the Phaser 300X printer's web pages.

Aldus PageMaker and FreeHand

1. Use either the printer's CD-ROM or the diskette:

   CD-ROM: Insert the Phaser 300X printer's CD-ROM into your computer's CD-ROM drive, and open the WIN95_NT directory. (The CD-ROM contains PPD files for all Tektronix Phaser printers.)

   Diskette: Insert the AdobePS 4 Driver for Windows 95 diskette into your computer's disk drive. (The diskette contains PPD files for the Phaser 300X printer only.)

2. Copy the PPD files you want from the CD-ROM or diskette to your hard disk.
3. Refer to the an application's documentation for instructions on where to install the files.

   Diskette: Insert the Printer Software for Windows diskette into your computer's disk drive.

2. Open the QUARK directory.
3. Copy the PDF file from the CD-ROM or diskette to the PDF subdirectory, in the application's directory, on your hard disk.
