Obtain
a Return Authorization Number (RMA#) from the Tektronix Service Center.
In the U.S.A. call1-800-835-6100, in Canada call 1-800-661-5625. Outside
the U.S.A. and Canada, contact your local Tektronix dealer or sales
representative; see the Local Contacts area on the World
Wide Web.
Note:
You must have a Return Authorization Number (RMA#) before returning
a printer. You will need to write this Return Authorization Number (RMA#)
on all cartons you ship to Tektronix.

Locate
the original Tektronix printer, accessories and consumables carton(s)
and packing materials.
Note: To keep your printer warranty valid, you must ship the
printer in its Tektronix carton. If you do not have the original carton
and packing materials, call the Customer Support Hotline at 1-800-835-6100
and order replacement packaging with part number 065-0541-00.

Turn
off the printer; remove all cords and cables.

Push
the button to open the top cover.

Replace
the packing material on both sides of the drum.

Remove
the paper tray(s) and transfer roll; pack these for shipping or storage.

Close
the top cover. Secure the top and front covers with adhesive tape.

If the
printer has a Lower Tray Assembly, make sure that its cable is disconnected
from the printer.

Lift
the printer up and away from the Lower Tray Assembly.

Repack
the printer in the Tektronix carton. Keep the printer level when moving
it.

If you do not have the original carton and packing materials, see the
beginning of this article for ordering information.

Write
the Return Authorization Number (RMA#) on a sheet of paper. Attach
this sheet to the top of the printer with adhesive tape.

Write
the Return Authorization Number (RMA#) on the outside of all cartons.

Ship
the printer (and consumables and accessories, if requested by Tektronix
Service) to the following address:
