Click the arrow to the right of the Paper summary, select Other Type, and select from the paper types that your printer supports. In addition to the standard and custom types listed, the following options are available:
Note: Not all options listed are supported on all printers. Some options apply only to specific printer models or configurations.
- Automatically Select Type allows the printer to select the tray to use for the print job based on the selected paper attributes other than paper type.
- Printer Default Type prints using the paper type set by the system administrator at the printer control panel.
Notes:
- Custom Type [#] identifies a custom paper type defined at the printer control panel.
- To print on transparencies, select Other Type > Transparency. Other Color is set automatically to Clear (Transparency).
Use Select By Tray to print from a specific tray without specifying paper attributes in the print driver or on the printer control panel. This option prints the job from the selected tray, even when more than one tray contains the correct paper for the job.
Select an option:
- Automatically Select allows the printer to print using any tray loaded with the size and type of paper required for the print job.
- Tray 1 is the manual feed tray. The printer prompts you to remove any other paper from the tray and load the paper for your job.
