Customer Responsibilities — Pre-Setup
Before the specialist arrives, please follow these steps to ensure a smooth installation.

  • Inside delivery of the product is required so the product is located where it is to be installed.
  • Make sure the site meets space requirements of the product.
  • Have necessary cables available.
  • Verify site meets the product’s electrical (115 VAC, 15 amps) and environmental requirements.
  • Arrange for system administrator and key equipment operator(s) to be present.

Setup Includes

  • Unbox the product and options.
  • Assemble product including options.
  • Install network kit if applicable.
  • Load consumables.
  • Connect power and telephone cords (where applicable) to complete product set-up.
  • Perform functional check.
  • Print startup page.
  • Conduct customer demo of how to load paper and consumables.
  • Remove boxes and packing to customer dock or trash center.

Setup does NOT include:

  • Transporting the product from customer loading dock or other location.
  • Installation of drivers or connectivity to the network.

*Please Note: Should a customer environment not be suitable for inside delivery (eg: no ramps, no service elevator, technicians must lift unit up stairs, etc.) Xerox has the right to refuse this component of the service.
