Main Features

Color Printing Technology

Easy-to-use, solid-ink technology provides low cost, laser-quality color printing with very little maintenance. Large-capacity ink supply allows printing of up to 4000 pages without having to replenish ink.

Connectivity and Networking

Workgroup Connectivity:
Windows/DOS and OS/2 PCs; Macintosh; and UNIX and VMS workstations.

Interfaces:

  • Standard: Bi-directional Parallel port; SCSI port for external SCSI hard disk and/or Phaser Copystation.
  • Optional PhaserShareTM Network Cards: Ethernet interface with support for Novell® NetWare®, EtherTalk®, and TCP/IP protocols; Token Ring with support for Novell NetWare, TCP/IP, and TokenTalk protocols; or LocalTalk and Serial.

The optional PhaserShare network cards include printer management software that allows Windows users to easily manage the 350 over Novell NetWare networks.

All ports and protocols are simultaneously active.

PhaserLinkTM Software

Tektronix PhaserLink software is platform-independent; it works with standard Web browsers. Just set the printer's address on your Intranet and every user can help themselves to printer status, configuration settings, your Intranet support site, or Tektronix' searchable support site -- filled with a library of technical information.

Controller: 32-MHz AMD 29030 RISC processor with advanced image handling for accelerated throughput.

Language:
Genuine AdobeTM PostScriptTM Level 2 and HP-GLTM Emulation, with automatic language sensing and switching. PCL® 5 (monochrome) emulation is optional.

Fonts:
Standard: 17 fonts
Optional: 69 fonts
Additional fonts may be downloaded in memory built-in support for PostScript Type 1, Type 3, and TrueType(TM) fonts, SCSI port for external hard-disk storage of additional fonts.

Media Types

Cost-efficient, plain-paper printing on common office papers from 16 to 32 lbs. (60 to 120 g/m2) or Tektronix transparencies. Heavier paper, up to 80 lbs. (220 g/m2), can be printed using the manual feed slot.

Color Control

TekColorTM Dynamic Correction makes it easy to print the colors you want. Just select the color matching you'd like from the print dialog box.
  • Vivid Color provides bright colors and smooth blends for business presentations, charts, and graphs.
  • Simulate Display matches the colors you see on you computer monitor.
  • For graphics applications, SWOP (Publication grade), Commercial , or Euroscale simulate the output of printing presses.

Phaser Copystation

Turn your Phaser 350 color printer into a color copier. Simply add a Tektronix Phaser Copystation desktop copy unit to make color copies right on your desktop.

Make Letter- or A4-size color copies from any original up to 8.5 x 14 in. (210 x 356 mm). The flexible hinge of the Copystation's cover accommodates extra-thick originals.

Scaling
Reduce or enlarge your originals from 25% to 200%.

Color Control
Fine-tune your color prints with individual color adjustments.

Copy Modes
