Product Reviews
WorkCentre 3315/3325 3.4 5 18 18
Still alive and kicking in a Warehouse! Our use case is scanning packing lists/delivery receipts to email to notify managers of deliveries in a timely manner. They then mark up the PDF scans and print as needed back to the warehouse. The scanning ADF works reasonably well with folded and spindled, if not mutilated, documents. The print quality took some tweaking to get it darker, the eco-mode is a no-go. In a rough environment it is still running fine. THERE IS NO PC in the warehouse, but the warehouse manager was able to get up and running with about 5 minutes of instruction. That's a good testament to usability in my opinion! It's almost like Xerox has been doing office machines for a long time...... May 16, 2013
Solid Small Office Printer I purchased a 3325 as a replacement to a 3300MFP and was please to find that several issues I had with the Phaser 3300MFP had been resolved. As I write this review we have been using the 3325 for 2 months and have been very pleased with its performance. The interface is different from the 3300MFP but it wasn't hard to figure out how to navigate the scan to e-mail, fax, and copy features. While I have seen easier interfaces it isn't bad enough to loose a star. A big improvement over the 3300MFP was the 3325 now supports SSL for SMTP and authentication. That allows it to talk directly to gmail/google who I use for our corporate e-mail. The Web interface for management is different from the Phaser line but wasn't hard to figure out. In fact if you have other big WorkCentre units it is very similar. One change that is good but threw me for a loop at first was the address book. Instead of having two address books, one for fax and one for e-mail now there is just one. So when you setup your address book if John Doe has both an e-mail address for scanning and a fax number, you have one entry for John Doe with the e-mail and fax number listed. The biggest challenge I had was finding the setting for line termination to be LF+CR. Normally this is in the PCL section but I could not find it anywhere. Second level support even had trouble but eventually it was found. Here is what they said: "If you’re in CWIS, go to Properties, then choose System then Setup. Within the Setup menu is an option for Line Termination." March 7, 2013
I only print normal stuff so it works just fine. I've been using this in a business that prints a lot of things for almost 2 years now and for basic printing, it works great. The only thing I don't like is that you have to get on the computer to setup the speed dial. October 22, 2014
too hard to find what you need in all the menus simple things like duplex printing and legal size printing...can't find on menu even though it says its capable of doing it. September 15, 2014
Lacks Quality I'm returning, address book not programmable, Scanner slow, parts seem fragile. Not at all what I expected from Xerox July 6, 2014
failed in 16 days with poor support I purchased this printer pkg with 2 toners and it came with eConcierge BUT the eConcierge didn't include the already purchased 2 toners. I have to purchase 2 more toners to qualify for eConcierge. After 16 days the fuser failed, this machine comes with Depot repair. The local depot repair centers aren't qualified to work on this model. Xerox won't replace my less than 30 day (16 days)failed unit and they want me to ship it out; not acceptable for a unit that is this new. November 1, 2013
details lacking This is a great all-around product but it is not suitable for fine, copy details. May 14, 2013
Disappointing Decent features, we like the all-in-one for our small office. Not easy to access them though - speed dialing is not one touch (that we had in our old Canon) so it seems like entering the number every time is quicker than speed dialing. Scanning works well, easy to use. Copying & faxing are slow, with added step of "updating data" when done (message that flashes on when job complete - can't do anything until it's completed). For the money spent I expected much more (and thought Xerox would have been on the forefront). Thought we would have gotten a significant upgrade going from Canon to Xerox but I liked the simplicity & ease of use of our old Canon. May 14, 2013
